New requirements for Uzbeks traveling to Egypt: procedures change from November 1

From November 1, 2026, new procedures for the entry of Uzbek citizens into the Arab Republic of Egypt will be introduced. According to this, citizens traveling to the country must obtain a visa in advance and comply with certain additional requirements. This was reported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt reported.

According to information received through diplomatic channels, Uzbek citizens must obtain an entry visa through Egypt's diplomatic missions before traveling to Egypt. Tourist trips are organized through authorized tour operators.

Tourists under 40 years of age may travel to Egypt only accompanied by close family members — parents, spouse, or children. In this case, the family must have at least 5,000 US dollars in cash for the duration of the trip.

Independent travelers over 40 years of age must have at least 3,000 dollars in cash financial resources.

At the time of entry into Egypt, a document confirming hotel reservation, mobile communication information, and documents confirming sufficient financial resources must be presented.

Also, during the stay in Egyptian territory, applications to change a tourist visa to another type of visa will not be accepted.

Travelers who do not fully present the specified documents may be denied entry into Egypt and may be returned via the airline that brought them to the country.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo has asked citizens to take these requirements into account when planning trips to Egypt.
