President of Uzbekistan attended the festival of national cuisines of CIS countries
The event showcased the culinary traditions of the national cuisines of nine CIS countries.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with the heads of delegations of the Commonwealth of Independent States countries, participated in the national cuisine festival held in the "Avaza" national tourist zone of Turkmenistan.
The event showcased the culinary traditions of the national cuisines of nine CIS countries — Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
At the Uzbekistan exposition, breads and pastries characteristic of various regions of the country, confectionery products, and dried fruits were presented. Guests were provided with information about the ancient traditions of Uzbek baking.
Also, festival guests watched the preparation processes of various types of somsa, Khorezm-style shivit oshi, and tuxumbarak. Various types of Uzbek palov and other dishes of the national cuisine were also demonstrated.
A special place was also given to national handicraft products at the Uzbekistan stand. Artisans from Rishton, Bukhara, Margilan, and Samarkand demonstrated their products and the traditional methods of making them.
National melodies and songs and dances gave the festival a unique festive atmosphere.
After getting acquainted with the Uzbekistan exposition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and other heads of delegations also got acquainted with the national dishes and cultural samples of other countries presented at the festival.
