The Secretariat for Education, Science, and Healthcare Affairs has been established.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Turdimov Erkinjon Oqbutayevich was appointed to the position of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Education and Science, and in this regard, was relieved of his position as Governor of Syrdarya Region.
Earlier, the candidacy of E. Turdimov was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
Also, by the relevant decree, the position of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Education and Science was introduced into the executive structure of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Secretariat for Education, Science, and Healthcare Affairs was established.
The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science was designated to exercise general leadership and coordination, within the scope of his authority, over the activities of the heads of republican executive authorities – ministries, committees, agencies, and inspections, as well as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the governors of regions and the city of Tashkent, in implementing the tasks and functions assigned to them in the fields of education, science, and healthcare.
Control over and organization of the implementation of these directions was assigned to the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, S.Sh. Mirziyoyeva.
