In 9 months, 7 million cubic meters of natural gas were saved at thermal power plants
In the first nine months of 2026, nearly 28 million kWh of electricity was generated and saved.

At a briefing held at the Media Content Preparation Center, G'olibjon Salimyorov, head of the Production Main Directorate of "Thermal Power Plants" JSC, provided information on the ongoing efforts to improve energy efficiency and introduce alternative energy sources.
Today, solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 15.9 megawatts have been installed in the company's system. In January–September 2026, they generated 14.6 million kWh of electricity, saving 3.7 million cubic meters of natural gas.
To improve energy efficiency, 1,520 autonomous solar lights, 1,783 motion sensors, and 181 frequency converters for electric motors were installed. As a result of these measures, an additional 13.2 million kWh of electricity was saved, and another 3.3 million cubic meters of natural gas was economized.
Additionally, 117 solar water heaters, each with a capacity of 200 liters, were installed at the enterprises within the system. Overall, in the first nine months of the year, nearly 28 million kWh of electricity was generated and saved, and 7 million cubic meters of natural gas was economized. As a result, the emission of approximately 9–11 thousand tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere was prevented.
Efforts to introduce energy-saving technologies, expand the use of renewable energy sources, and reduce the amount of energy consumed for the power plants' own needs will be consistently continued.
