Risk of energy shortage in Europe: European Commission warned of a harsh winter
Disruptions in fuel supply and rising energy prices could complicate the coming winter season in Europe.

The European Commission expects the upcoming winter season to be very severe. This was announced on October 14 in Brussels by an official representative of the organization, writes DW.
According to him, there is a possibility of energy resource shortages in Europe. In the coming months, against the backdrop of a significant increase in energy prices, the situation may remain unstable and difficult to predict.
Disruptions in fuel supply are linked to production problems after the start of the US and Israeli war against Iran. In September, diesel fuel exports from the Middle East and Russia decreased by a total of 1.3 million barrels per day.
In order to curb price increases, member states of the International Energy Agency are coordinating measures to release 100 million barrels of oil and diesel fuel from strategic reserves onto the market.
