"Take strict measures": young man who sexually harassed a woman was arrested
A 22-year-old man approached a woman selling goods by the roadside with an inappropriate proposition.
A young man in a drunken state approached a woman selling goods along the M-39 highway passing through the Okoltin district of the Syrdarya region and offered her money in exchange for sexual intercourse.
The victim, the woman, was displeased by this offer and appealed to the internal affairs bodies. Internal affairs officers who studied the situation drew up a protocol against the young man and submitted the documents to court.
According to the woman's testimony, she initially responded to the young man's call. However, upon realizing his purpose, she wanted appropriate action to be taken regarding the incident.
At the court hearing, the young man confirmed the woman's testimony. He stated that he had committed his act while intoxicated and asked for leniency.
The victim, however, demanded in court that strict measures be taken against the offender.
«Take strict measures!» — she expressed her displeasure.
The court, having reviewed the victim's testimony and the case materials, sentenced the 22-year-old young man to 5 days of administrative detention.
