Shavkat Mirziyoyev set priority tasks for the development of the Uzbek language.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated compatriots on October 21 — the Day of the Uzbek Language and noted important tasks for developing the state language, improving the quality of education, and expanding the capabilities of the Uzbek language in modern technologies.
The head of state emphasized that the native language embodies the people's historical memory, knowledge, experience, and spiritual values. According to him, enriching the capabilities of the Uzbek language with new scientific achievements, technologies, and creative works is one of the important tasks.
The President emphasized that representatives of various nations and peoples live as one family in Uzbekistan, and noted that respect for each person's native language and cultural values is an important foundation of friendship and solidarity. Therefore, it was stated that efforts to develop the Karakalpak language and other languages and to create favorable conditions for learning the Uzbek language are being carried out in mutual harmony.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to give priority attention in education to developing students' reading, comprehension, speaking, and literate writing skills. It was noted that when updating textbooks and teaching methods, it is necessary to take into account the difference between the needs of children learning Uzbek as their native language and students mastering it as the state language.
Respect for the state language must also be demonstrated in the activities of state bodies. It was emphasized that laws, decisions, instructions, and responses to citizens' appeals must be written in fluent, clear, and understandable language.
It was also noted that it is important to expand opportunities for using reliable scientific literature, quality translations, and electronic resources in the Uzbek language in medicine, engineering, economics, and other fields. In this regard, the necessity of cooperation among scientists, linguists, translators, and industry specialists was stated.
The President also dwelt separately on the issue of expanding the capabilities of the Uzbek language in the digital environment. In particular, the development of electronic dictionaries, translation and editing tools, and technologies that convert speech to text and text to voice was identified as important tasks. It was emphasized that attention should be paid to protecting copyright and personal data, as well as creating convenient opportunities for people with disabilities.
The head of state noted that the quality of artificial intelligence tools in the state language should be assessed by how accurately and usefully they can provide assistance to people. He stated that solutions to writing and spelling issues must rely on a scientific basis, dialogue with the public, and practical preparation.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to scientists, researchers, teachers, translators, writers, journalists, publishers, and information technology specialists working to develop the Uzbek language. He also thanked compatriots and foreigners learning the Uzbek language and called for contributing to enhancing the prestige of the native language and expanding its communication with the world.
At the end of the congratulatory message, the President wished compatriots health, peace, prosperity, and success.
