According to information provided to Zamon.uz by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, on February 18 of this year at 11:50 AM, a report was received by the Kokand city prosecutor's office from the city police department's duty unit regarding a preventive inspector being inflicted with a bodily injury.

 

According to preliminary information, a minor citizen, born in 2010, residing on Birlik Street in the "Sadoqat" neighborhood of Kokand city, got into an altercation in the kitchen with a preventive inspector who had come to his residence based on a call from his grandmother.

 

It was established that during the conflict that arose, the minor, taking advantage of the fact that the preventive inspector had his back turned, struck him once in the left rear part of his chest with a kitchen knife that was on the table, inflicting a bodily injury.

 

According to the initial conclusion provided by the medical institution, the victim was diagnosed with a "stab-cut wound to the left posterior area of the chest, penetrating into the pleural cavity, left-sided hemopneumothorax, external and internal bleeding."

 

Regarding this incident, on February 18, 2026, a criminal case was initiated against the minor under Article 104, Part 2, paragraph "b" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and he was detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
