An unidentified bright object was observed flying in the skies of Tashkent and Namangan.

Video footage taken near the Kosmonavtlar metro station has been widely circulated on social networks. It was observed that the footage captured a bright, unidentified object moving in the sky.

Preliminary investigation into this incident has been carried out by specialists from the Institute of Astronomy of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. To date, it has not been officially confirmed whether the phenomenon recorded in the video is related to a meteorite fall or another natural or man-made source. In the absence of any remnants reaching the Earth's surface, there is no scientific possibility to confirm the exact nature of the event.

According to the Institute, meteoroids are small solid bodies moving in the Solar System. When they enter the Earth's atmosphere, they leave a bright trail due to intense heating, and this phenomenon is called a meteor. If the body does not completely burn up in the atmosphere and reaches the Earth's surface, it is recorded as a meteorite.

Furthermore, reports have also spread on social networks about the discovery of object remnants in Namangan region.

According to information provided to Gazeta.uz by Mahmudkhon Odilkhonov, an aviation spotter living in Namangan region, a loud noise was heard and the ground was felt to shake in the area around 12:30-13:00. He stated that he was near the airport at that time for the purpose of observing aircraft.

According to the witness, an initial assumption arose that the incident might have occurred in the direction of the "Yuksalish" area near the airport. Later, when he returned home, family members also said they heard a loud noise and that it seemed to have come from the direction of Chust.

The witness also noted that black smoke was observed in the sky after the incident and that it remained for about two hours. He emphasized that after hearing an additional noise, dark smoke trails in the sky became even more visible and remained until he reached his home from the airport area.

Mahmudkhon Odilkhonov added that during the time the event was occurring, he received messages from acquaintances, and on social networks, it was written that a bright object was visible in the Tashkent sky for several seconds. According to him, comparing the times, these reports coincided with the time the phenomenon was observed.

Currently, this eyewitness information is being analyzed by relevant specialists as part of the general investigation materials. An official conclusion regarding the exact causes and origin of the incident is expected to be announced based on the results of additional examinations.

Specialists are continuing work to study the object's probable trajectory and the identified suspicious remnants. Additional information will be officially communicated to the public as it becomes available.
