Flood risk declared in 9 regions of Uzbekistan
In some areas, there is also a possibility of flooding due to the accumulation of rainwater.

According to Uzhydromet, due to the expected rains on February 25-26, there is a risk of mudflows and floods in the foothill and mountainous areas of the republic.
The regions and districts where the mudflow hazard has been announced are as follows:
Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, G'uzor districts;
Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho'rchi, Qumqo'rg'on, Muzrobot districts;
Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulung'ur, Nurobod, Qo'shrabot, Kattaqo'rg'on, Payariq, Jomboy, Ishtixon districts;
Navoiy region: Xatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex, Karmana districts;
Jizzakh region: Zomin, Baxmal, G'allaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiobod districts;
Tashkent region: Ohangaron, Bo'stonliq, Parkent, Piskent, O'rtachirchiq, Yuqorichirchiq districts and the cities of Angren, Olmaliq;
Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo'rg'on districts;
Fergana region: So'x, Shohimardon, Fergana, Beshariq districts;
Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qo'rg'ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo'jaobod, Marhamat districts and the city of Xonabod.
"We ask citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers moving in mountainous areas to take precautionary measures," the report says.
