A 13-year-old girl became a mother in Bukhara.
The suspect is currently detained and investigative actions are being carried out.

A 13-year-old girl in Bukhara has been found to be pregnant. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (violation of the sexual integrity of a person under 14 years of age).
Earlier, information spread on social networks that a 12-year-old girl had been raped by her stepfather. However, the Children's Ombudsman, in response to a request from Kun.uz, denied this information. The pregnancy was detected when the fetus was 6 months old.
The suspect, identified not as a family member but as a previously known acquaintance, has been arrested and investigative actions are being carried out. According to the Ombudsman's information, within the framework of protecting the child's interests, it is being monitored to ensure the strictest punishment prescribed by law is applied to the guilty person.
According to current legislation, the crime of violating the sexual integrity of a person under 14 years of age is punishable by imprisonment from 15 to 20 years, and within the framework of a state program in 2026, the introduction of life imprisonment is planned.
