A scientific-practical conference on the topic "Ensuring Economic Security in the Context of the Digital Economy" was held in Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the event is to expand the concept of economic security in public consciousness and the awareness of economic entities, scientifically analyze emerging threats and risks in the context of the digital economy, and create an effective environment for combating economic violations.

A Republic scientific-practical conference on the topic "Ensuring Economic Security in the Conditions of the Digital Economy: Problems and Solutions" was held by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, the Inspection for Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market, and Tashkent State University of Economics.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, tax and customs committees, practitioners, entrepreneurs, as well as scientists, professors, teachers, and researchers.
The main goal of the event was to expand the concept of economic security in public consciousness and the awareness of economic entities, scientifically analyze emerging threats and risks in the conditions of the digital economy, and create an effective environment for combating economic offenses.
The following areas were discussed at the conference:
- Strengthening the legislative framework in the field of economic security;
- Preventing economic offenses, including improving the control system over the expenditure of budget funds;
- Scientific and practical aspects of ensuring and supporting the economic security of entrepreneurship and small business;
- The use of digital technologies in reducing the scale of the shadow economy;
- Increasing the effectiveness of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
Furthermore, within the framework of the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tashkent State University of Economics and the Inspection for Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market. The memorandum serves to further strengthen cooperation between the Inspection and the University in the field of analyzing, assessing, and researching the scale of the shadow economy, and developing proposals.
At the conclusion of the conference, scientific proposals and practical recommendations were developed, and measures for their implementation were determined. The event serves to strengthen economic stability in our country, increase the effectiveness of digital reforms, and elevate the culture of economic security.
