A road traffic accident occurred on February 24 of this year at 15:56 at the 103rd kilometer of the "Fergana Ring Road" on the D-105 highway, passing through the territory of the "Eski Markaz" neighborhood of Baliqchi district, Andijan region. The press service of the Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported this.

 

According to preliminary information, a "ZIL-130" cargo vehicle, driven by A.J. (born in 2002), hit H.M. (born in 2017), who ran out onto a pedestrian crossing while the vehicle was moving through a regulated intersection. Subsequently, the driver lost control of the steering and collided with a stationary "Cobalt" vehicle at the intersection.

 

As a result of the incident, the minor pedestrian H.M. was taken to the hospital with bodily injuries. Despite the provided medical treatment, he died.

 

Regarding this incident, the Investigation Department under the Baliqchi District Department of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (violation of traffic safety rules or rules for operating vehicles resulting in the death of a person) and investigative actions are being carried out.
