It was found that "YEROSTIGAZ" JSC unreasonably received 2.8 billion soums from the enterprise.

A case has been initiated against the AJ regarding the unauthorized increase of the tariff, and a decision has been made to impose a financial penalty.

It was found that "YEROSTIGAZ" JSC unreasonably received 2.8 billion soums from the enterprise.

As a result of investigations conducted by the Competition Committee, it was determined that "YEROSTIGAZ" JSC must recalculate nearly 2.8 billion soums in unreasonably collected funds to the end consumer.

The Tashkent Regional Department of the Competition Committee reviewed an appeal from "ANGREN THERMAL POWER PLANT" JSC, operating in the city of Angren.

During the conducted analysis and investigation, it was found that "YEROSTIGAZ" JSC applied a tariff of 265,536 soums for gas supplied to "ANGREN THERMAL POWER PLANT" JSC in February 2024, which was increased without following the established declaration procedure, instead of the tariff price of 135,969 soums that should have been in effect. As a result, it became known that over 1.8 billion soums were unreasonably collected, and additionally, for a 12-day period in March, nearly 1 billion soums were collected, totaling approximately 2.8 billion soums in unjustified funds.

Regarding this case, the Regional Department's Special Commission initiated proceedings against "YEROSTIGAZ" JSC on signs of violation of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Competition" and the regulations approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 239. Based on the results of the review, a decision was made to impose a financial penalty.

Furthermore, an instruction was issued to eliminate the identified violations, prevent such cases in the future, and ensure the recalculation of the approximately 2.8 billion soums in unjustifiably charged funds to the end consumer in accordance with the established procedure.

Currently, this case is being considered in court.
