The US is deploying F-22 fighter jets to Israel.

The United States has deployed 11 F-22 multirole fighter jets from the UK's Lakenheath airbase to an airbase in southern Israel. According to earlier reports, 12 aircraft initially took off, but one of them returned due to a technical malfunction. This was reported by The Times of Israel.

The F-22 aircraft first arrived in the UK and stayed for several days before flying on to Israel.

According to agency reports, the US has previously deployed dozens of F-22 and F-35 fighter-bombers, as well as F-15 and F-16 fighter jets and dozens of tankers to airbases in the Middle East. At the same time, hundreds of transport flights have been carried out.

Reports indicate that General Dan Cain, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other high-ranking officials have warned about the risk of military operations against Iran, their potential long duration, and the possibility of them leading to conflicts.

US President Donald Trump has stated his preference for a diplomatic solution but has threatened several times to use force if negotiations fail. Iran has promised to retaliate with strikes on Israeli and American targets. The next stage of US-Iran negotiations is expected to take place in Geneva this week.
