The war has turned me into a "person without friends" — Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the war has had a significant impact on his personal life and worldview.

According to reports, when asked by a journalist, "What kind of person has the war made you?", the head of state initially noted that it was difficult to give a precise answer to this question. Later, he remarked that he feels as though he has become a "person without friends."

The President emphasized that under wartime conditions, he has been forced to focus only on important and strategic issues. "I have no time to communicate with my friends, but I am in constant contact with my partners, my important collaborators. There is no time left now for friends or personal relationships," he said.

The Ukrainian leader also stressed that as a result of the war started by Russia, he feels himself becoming even more resilient. According to him, he now focuses more on serious matters.

This statement was made during a press conference following the Ukraine, Northern and Baltic States summit on February 24. During the event, participating European leaders also noted that Zelenskyy's leadership qualities have strengthened.

In particular, Alexander Stubb emphasized that the Ukrainian leader has demonstrated a true example of leadership under difficult trial conditions.
