Israel has closed its airspace to civilian flights.

Following a "preemptive strike" against Iran by the Israeli Defense Forces early Saturday morning, Israel's airspace has been closed to civilian flights, and the public is being asked to avoid airports until further notice.

According to a statement from Defense Minister Israel Katz, a preemptive operation was carried out against Iran to neutralize threats to the country. Consequently, a state of emergency has been declared nationwide. The Home Front Command updated instructions for the public: gatherings, educational events, and business activities are prohibited.

Due to an increased likelihood of missile and drone attacks on the country, citizens are advised to remain in secure shelters and follow official instructions.

Some media outlets are reporting that Israel attacked Iran together with the United States. This has not been officially confirmed.
