President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered the evacuation of Uzbek citizens from the Gulf states.
Special attention has been given to the task of organizing repatriation flights on the Jeddah—Tashkent route.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has given instructions to Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov regarding the effective organization of repatriating compatriots stranded in the Gulf countries.
Issues related to ensuring the implementation of these instructions were discussed at a videoconference meeting held at the Cabinet of Ministers on March 2. The meeting defined necessary measures and specific tasks for the safe and systematic return of citizens to Uzbekistan.
In particular, all airlines in the country were instructed to take measures for the repatriation of compatriots stranded in the Gulf states.
A special task was assigned to focus on organizing flights on the Jeddah-Tashkent route.
During the meeting, the heads of relevant ministries and agencies were also given tasks to analyze the implementation status of existing agreements with the Gulf countries and to review alternative routes for export-import operations. Necessary measures will be promptly implemented in accordance with the situation.
Earlier, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait had recommended its citizens to strictly adhere to security requirements.
