"You started the war, we will finish it" — Iranian parliament speaker addresses Trump

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf addressed Donald Trump in a post on the X social network.

In his statement, he indicated that he holds the US responsible for the escalation in the region, emphasizing that the US started the war, but Iran will finish it.

Ghalibaf also noted that if the war continues, it could seriously impact not only the oil market but the entire region and the global economy.

"Trump previously said oil prices would not rise sharply. Now that prices have risen, he says they will stabilize again soon. If the war continues in this manner, there will be neither a way to sell oil nor the possibility to produce it. This harms not only US interests but also the interests of the region and the entire world," he wrote.

Furthermore, the Iranian Parliament Speaker also criticized Benjamin Netanyahu's policies in this process.

"You started this war, but the Islamic Republic will end it," emphasized Ghalibaf.
