A cadastral employee was caught taking $2,500 for formalizing cadastral documents for land, while a tax inspector was apprehended while receiving 10 million soums for resolving a farmer's issue in court.

During rapid operational measures carried out by law enforcement agencies, the illegal activities related to fraud by a cadastral employee and a former tax inspector were identified and they were detained. The SSS reported this to Zamon.uz.

 

It was reported that during a rapid operation conducted in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, a cadastral engineer working at the Pastdargom district branch of the State Cadastre Chamber was caught red-handed while illegally receiving money.

 

It was found that, through his authorized acquaintances, he demanded $2,500 USD in exchange for processing the cadastral passport for a 2-sotix land plot belonging to a local citizen through state registration and was caught while receiving the money.

 

Regarding this case, a criminal case was initiated against him under Part 3, paragraph "v" of Article 168 and Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and detention was applied as a preventive measure.

 

Furthermore, during another rapid operation carried out in Surkhandarya, the former chief inspector of the Sherabad district state tax inspection of the State Tax Committee was detained.

 

According to information, he was caught with material evidence while receiving money after demanding 10 million soums in exchange for restoring ownership rights to a farming enterprise specializing in horticulture within the framework of a case being considered in the regional economic court.

 

Regarding this case as well, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3, paragraph "v" of Article 168 of the Criminal Code, and detention was applied as a preventive measure against the suspect. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
