A truck entering Uzbekistan from Afghanistan was found to contain narcotics disguised as potatoes. This was reported to Zamon.uz by the State Security Service.

 

It was reported that a "MAN" cargo truck, driven by a citizen born in 2001, was inspected upon entry from Afghanistan in the Termiz district of Surkhandarya region. The inspection was conducted jointly by personnel from the State Security Service (SSS) Border Troops and Customs authorities.

 

During the inspection, it was discovered and officially documented that among the potatoes in the truck's cargo hold, 222 pieces, totaling 72.3 kg of "hashish" substance, were hidden, prepared to look like potatoes.

 

According to preliminary information, these narcotics were being transported to Russia. An investigation into the case is currently underway.
