A narcotics laboratory was exposed in Tashkent.

A major drug laboratory was exposed in Tashkent as part of the fight against the illegal circulation of narcotics. The State Security Service reported this.

It is reported that during rapid search operations conducted jointly by the State Security Service Directorate for the Tashkent region and internal affairs officers, an illegal drug laboratory was discovered in a house located in the Sergeli district.

According to the report, a person born in 2003, residing in the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region, organized this laboratory in a house rented in a multi-story building. During the rapid operation, from this address, 3.5 kilograms of the potent substance "Pregabalin" with a total value of 4.5 billion soums, 20 liters of liquid and 25 kilograms of powder-form precursors, as well as equipment used for their preparation and packaging, were seized as material evidence.

Furthermore, another citizen who worked as a chemist in the drug laboratory was also apprehended.

These individuals were initially engaged in distributing potent substances as "kladmen" (couriers/drop handlers) for illegal drug stores operating via "Telegram." Later, after gaining the trust of the criminal group leaders, they were involved in the drug manufacturing process.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident against these individuals, and the preventive measure of detention has been applied to them. The investigation is currently ongoing.
