Iran has mobilized one million soldiers for potential military operations on land — Mehr

The escalation of military-political tensions in the Middle East and in relations with Washington has prompted Tehran to begin a large-scale mobilization to counter potential threats. This was reported by the Point publication, citing the Mehr news agency.

 

Writing based on a source informed on the matter, the Mehr agency states that over one million Iranian fighters have been mobilized for a potential ground confrontation against US troops.

 

Iran's Tasnim agency also writes that a "strong morale boost" has emerged among the military around the idea of creating a "historic hell" for American servicemen if the US launches a ground attack.

 

It is noted that in recent days, there has been a sharp increase in the number of applications submitted by Iranian youth wishing to join the "Basij" formations, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the regular army.

 

"The United States wants to open the Strait of Hormuz through a self-destructive tactic; fine. We are ready for them to implement this 'self-destruction strategy' and for the strait to remain closed," a military official informed.

 

This news emerged against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump threatening to seize the strategically important oil center and key maritime route control point, Kharg Island.

 

On March 25, Iranian state television reported that Tehran officials had rejected a proposal for a ceasefire. Instead, Iran is demanding the closure of all US military bases in the Persian Gulf, the payment of compensation, and a halt to Israeli strikes against "Hezbollah."

 

"Iran is aiming to take control of the Strait of Hormuz. This is a scenario similar to Egypt's policy regarding the Suez Canal, according to which transit fees could be levied from ships passing through the strait," the report states.
