We have won — Iran

Trump called the deal with Iran an absolute victory for the United States.

We have won — Iran

The US and Iran have reached a peace agreement to stop the war for two weeks. After the agreement, both sides announced that they had achieved victory.

In a telephone interview with the AFP agency, the US President declared the two-week ceasefire and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for that period as a "complete and absolute victory" for Washington. According to him, this is "undoubtedly a 100 percent victory."

In this regard, Iran's Supreme National Security Council issued an official statement and congratulated the country's population on the achieved victory. The statement emphasized that until the victory is fully confirmed, it is of great importance for officials to pursue a rational policy and to maintain unity and harmony in society.

In response to a question about Iran's natural resources, Trump said: "This will be resolved in the most acceptable manner, otherwise I would not have agreed to the deal."

According to Iran's Supreme National Security Council, the US has accepted obligations on a number of issues. These include non-aggression, maintaining Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, recognizing uranium enrichment, lifting all types of sanctions, terminating international resolutions, compensating for damages caused, withdrawing US military forces from the region, and halting military operations on various fronts.

According to Iranian state media, Tehran's 10-point proposal envisages granting the Islamic Republic the right to enrich uranium.

Trump said that China had exerted pressure on Iran to reach an agreement. China is the main buyer of Iranian oil. AFP notes that Trump plans to visit Beijing in May.

Donald Trump added that negotiations with Iran are being conducted on 15 points and that most of them have already been agreed upon.

"We'll see what happens now. Whether we can reach an agreement or not, time will tell," Trump concluded.
