Within the framework of the international forum on combating drug threats being held in Samarkand, a meeting was held with the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. This was reported on Saida Mirziyoyeva's Telegram channel.

 

 

It was noted that the meeting discussed pressing issues of further developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and WHO. In particular, attention was focused on the reforms being carried out in the country's healthcare system, increasing the efficiency of digital medicine, improving the regulation of the pharmaceutical market, and expanding regional ties.

 

 

During the meeting, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation with the World Health Organization in the direction of treating and rehabilitating drug addicts.
