Uzbekistan and Škoda Group have signed an agreement on the delivery of electric trains.
The implementation of the Škoda project in the field of railway transport begins in Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš signed a joint declaration on advancing expanded cooperation.
It was reported that an agreement on the delivery of electric trains was also reached at this event.
On the Czech side, the agreement on the delivery of electric trains with "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" was signed by Škoda Group CEO Petr Novotný.
Earlier, the Czech Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Lubomír Frebort, announced that the implementation of the Škoda project in the railway transport sector would begin as part of the visit.
The project envisages the delivery of electric trains, their assembly in Uzbekistan, and the gradual localization of production.
For this purpose, it is expected that a Škoda Academy for personnel training will be opened at the Tashkent State Transport University.
