In Fergana, a man who intentionally killed his wife and daughter was sentenced to 19 years in prison.
A man, while intoxicated, came to his father-in-law's house and stabbed his wife and 2-year-old daughter in order to avoid paying alimony.

A court verdict has been read for a man accused of intentionally killing his spouse and minor child in the Uzbekistan district of the Fergana region. This was reported in the "Zamon" program here.
According to the information, on November 3, 2025, citizen Hayitov, who arrived at his father-in-law's house under the influence of alcohol, met with his spouse. The woman had previously taken her husband to court over the issue of alimony collection, and by court decision, the man was imprisoned for 15 days.
It is noted that after the man served his sentence, the conflict between the spouses intensified further. According to investigation data, in order to avoid paying alimony, he inflicted multiple bodily injuries on his spouse with a kitchen knife he had brought in his pocket, in front of his minor children. Subsequently, he also struck his daughter, born in 2023, with the knife.
As a result of the blows, the child died at the scene, and the woman passed away while being taken to the hospital. The man who committed the crime fled the scene.
The court for criminal cases of the Uzbekistan district found him guilty under Articles 97, Part 2, clauses "a", "v", "j", "i" of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 19 years of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a general-regime colony.
Earlier, it was reported that in the Syrdarya region, a woman in an unregistered religious marriage stabbed and killed her husband's legal wife and his 5-year-old daughter. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The woman has been taken into custody.
