In the Angor district of Surkhandarya region, a driver working in the ambulance service was found to have been driving a service vehicle while intoxicated, and a court decision was issued against him. The Surkhandarya Department of Internal Affairs reported this.
According to the information, a 62-year-old citizen, who worked as a driver in the district medical association, was driving a Damas brand service vehicle assigned to him under the influence of alcohol on May 14 at around 21:10.
During the inspection, the driver was examined using a breathalyzer. As a result, it was determined that his body contained 0.755 mg/l of alcohol.
In connection with the incident, a report was drawn up under Article 131 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and the case was sent to court.
The Angor District Court for Criminal Cases found the driver guilty. According to the court decision, he was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 years and fined 40 times the base calculation amount — 16 million 480 thousand soums.
