In Bekabad, a man who killed a woman and buried her body in the yard was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.

A verdict has been issued in the Bekabad city court for criminal cases of the Tashkent region against a man who killed a woman and attempted to hide her body. This was reported in the "Zamon" information program.

According to court materials, the 27-year-old man met a divorced woman through Instagram. After corresponding for a while, the parties later met, and the woman, along with her minor son, began living at the man's house.

However, their relationship did not last long. According to the defendant's testimony, frequent disagreements arose between them because the woman consumed alcoholic beverages and psychotropic substances.

On the night of December 2 to December 3, 2025, during another quarrel, the man demanded that the woman leave his home. According to the defendant, the woman resisted, and during the conflict, she fell and sustained a severe head injury.

As a result, the woman died at the scene. Subsequently, in order to conceal the traces of the crime, the man buried the body in the backyard of his house. He also disposed of the blood-stained clothes and the victim's SIM cards.

Law enforcement officers discovered and exhumed the victim's body on December 27, 2025.

According to the court verdict, the man was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
