It has been reported that the US delegation includes Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The Iranian side is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The negotiations are being held while military operations in Lebanon continue and the situation around the Strait of Hormuz has escalated. Earlier, Iran announced that it was closing the Strait of Hormuz again, citing Israel's strikes on Lebanon as the reason.

According to their information, 55 ships have passed through the area, including vessels carrying nearly 17 million barrels of oil.
Earlier, JD Vance announced that he plans to stay in Switzerland for several days as part of the negotiations.
