Kashkadarya: 201 kg of cannabis seized, nearly 2 kg of hashish confiscated in Tashkent.

During operational activities conducted in the Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions, 201 kilograms of cannabis and nearly 2 kilograms of hashish were confiscated. The State Security Service reported this.
It was reported that a citizen born in 1985, residing in the city of Shahrisabz, was found to have organized a greenhouse on a 5.3-hectare plot in the yard of his home and was cultivating 714 cannabis plants for the purpose of sale.
According to the expert conclusion, the net weight of the confiscated cannabis amounted to 201 kilograms.
In another incident, a citizen born in 1966, previously convicted, residing in the city of Bekabad in the Tashkent region, was stopped and inspected by employees of the State Security Service and customs authorities in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city.
During the inspection, 1 kilogram and 994 grams of hashish were found in a cellophane bag in his possession and were documented as material evidence. According to preliminary information, this narcotic substance was smuggled from a neighboring country and was planned to be sold in Tashkent city.
