An international university campus will be established in Tashkent.
It is planned to open branches of prestigious foreign higher education institutions in the town, as well as to build modern campuses and student dormitories.

During the presentation of proposals to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on developing the education system based on international standards, the initiative to establish the Tashkent International University City was discussed.
In implementing the project, it was proposed to draw on the experience of Education City in Qatar, Dubai International Academic City in the United Arab Emirates, and Incheon Global Campus in South Korea.
According to the proposals, plans include opening branches of prestigious foreign higher education institutions in the university city, as well as building modern campuses and student dormitories.
Additionally, it is envisaged to simplify licensing requirements, allocate grants and scholarships, apply customs and tax incentives, and develop mechanisms to cover part of royalty payments.
It was noted that the main goal of the initiative is to transform Uzbekistan into a leading educational center in the region, with widespread implementation of international educational programs and standards.
At the end of the presentation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the proposals and gave instructions to relevant officials on gradually expanding integrated educational programs, aligning their quality with international requirements, and establishing long-term academic cooperation with prestigious foreign universities.
