Three people drowned in the Zarafshan River in Navoi.
The incident occurred on July 8. The bodies of the citizens were found on July 10.
In the Karmana district of Navoiy region, the bodies of three citizens who drowned in the Zarafshon River were found during search and rescue operations. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department announced.
According to the report, on July 8 at 13:50, a message was received by the Emergency Situations Department stating that three citizens had entered the Zarafshon River in the area flowing through the "Katta masjid" neighborhood of Karmana district to swim and, due to carelessness, drowned.
Following this, divers from the Special Rescue Squad of the regional Emergency Situations Department, as well as other relevant services, were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the search and rescue operations, the bodies of all three citizens were found on July 10 in the section of the Zarafshon River flowing through the territory of Karmana district.
Employees of the regional Emergency Situations Department, the district internal affairs department, and the prosecutor's office worked at the scene. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
