"Tashkent will regain the status of a 'green city'" — Saida Mirziyoyeva

Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva inspected a number of important facilities in Tashkent and announced plans for further greening and expanding green areas in the capital.

She noted that while Tashkent is developing rapidly, the city lacks sufficient green spaces. Therefore, creating new recreational parks and greening the environment is considered one of the priority directions for the capital's future.

It was noted that necessary conditions will be created for the public to freely relax in the park on Afrosiyob Street. Additionally, issues of renovating Sayilgoh Street, Amir Temur Avenue and adjacent areas, as well as expanding the areas of the Babur Ecopark and the Mirzo Ulugbek Park, were discussed.

Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the main goal is to restore Tashkent's status as a "green city" and increase open spaces that provide citizens with opportunities for meaningful recreation and walks.

She also noted the need to develop a comfortable and safe urban environment, consistently continue greening efforts, and make effective use of existing infrastructure.

“It is very important to urgently begin solving these issues in order to improve the living standards of the city's residents,” wrote Mirziyoyeva.
