In the town of Massandra in Crimea, local authorities have set up a field kitchen for residents who cannot cook at home due to power outages. According to the head of the town administration, Oksana Madyud, hot meals made from buckwheat and canned meat are being distributed here to nearly 200 people every day.
According to local residents, the power supply disruptions have forced them to search for gas stoves and cylinders. In some areas, electricity has been cut off for up to 10 days.
Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014, has been facing problems with fuel and electricity supply throughout the summer as a result of strikes carried out by Ukraine on power plants and other critical infrastructure facilities.
Ukraine, in turn, has stated that it is intensifying long-range strikes on Russian territory and Moscow-controlled areas, describing this as a response to the war waged against its country.
