The head of state expressed hope that the new academic year will be a year of new educational advancement in the education system.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated school students, teachers and parents on the Day of Knowledge, which is being celebrated in harmony and unison with the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, in his address.
“May the new academic year be a year of new educational advancement in the entire education system of our country, in the life of our schools, lyceums, technical colleges and higher education institutions!” — said the President.
The President noted that as a result of reforms in school education, the schools of New Uzbekistan are acquiring a new image and the quality of education is improving. He called young people who are achieving success in studies, vocational education, IT, creativity, sports and public affairs the country's “bright future, golden fund.”
“In the image of our children — knowledgeable, sharp-witted, hardworking and ambitious, whose ranks are growing year by year — we see the seedlings of the Third Renaissance,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President announced that priority attention will continue to be given to the development of the education and upbringing sphere. He noted that conditions will be created for young people graduating from school to acquire, along with solid knowledge, at least one modern profession. For this purpose, “Profession Towns” will be established in the regions, attracting modern expertise and advanced specialists.
Furthermore, the head of state called on young people to thoroughly master new knowledge, ideas and innovations, professions, the native language, history and culture, and to study world history and foreign languages.
“My dear children, the key that opens the doors to a happy and prosperous life for you, the solution to the complex questions that arise on your life's path, and the guarantee of overcoming trials and hardships — all of it is only knowledge, knowledge, and knowledge,” said the President.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished students to start the new academic year with excellent grades, successfully complete the quarters, and wished them good health, luck and success.
It was reported that this year, nearly 800,000 boys and girls are starting the new academic year at the threshold of the country's schools.
