On September 2, 2026, three citizens — a father and his two sons — drowned in the Charvak reservoir located in the territory of the "Burchmulla" mahalla citizens' assembly in Bostanliq district, Tashkent region.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), while boating, they entered an area where entering the water was prohibited and went into the water without life jackets.
As soon as the incident was reported, MES diver-rescuers arrived at the scene. Currently, they are conducting search operations within a radius of 2–2.5 kilometers. The necessary forces and resources have been deployed for the search.
According to MES, the depth of the reservoir and the vastness of the search area are complicating the operations.
The search operations are under the full control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
