The National Museum will undoubtedly become one of the largest cultural projects in Central Asia — Saida Mirziyoyeva

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the construction process of the new Uzbekistan National Museum being built in Tashkent.

The architectural concept of the museum was developed by one of the world's most famous architects, the prestigious Pritzker Prize laureate Tadao Ando.

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, museums and cultural spaces built according to Tadao Ando's designs are highly valued in Japan, Europe, and the USA. His architectural style is known worldwide for the simplicity and precision of its lines, and his unique approach to the harmony of space and light.

“There is no doubt that the National Museum will become one of the largest cultural projects in Central Asia. This place will house exhibition halls, a library, restoration laboratories, and educational spaces,” wrote Saida Mirziyoyeva.

According to the head of the Presidential Administration, it is very important that world-class architects work on such historically significant projects in the country, and the objects they create will serve the people for many years, becoming an integral part of history and cultural heritage.
