The Uzbekistan national team took to the field against Iran in its first match after the 2026 World Cup. In a friendly match held in Fergana, Fabio Cannavaro's charges won 3:1.
In the 10th minute of the match, Eldor Shomurodov put Uzbekistan ahead. At the start of the second half, in the 49th minute, Ramin Rezaeian equalized.
In the 58th minute, Shomurodov converted a penalty to complete his brace. In the 90+4th minute, Husayn Norchayev put the final touch to the match — 3:1.
Thus, the Uzbekistan national team achieved a convincing victory over Iran.
