After no winner was determined in regulation and extra time, the teams faced off in a penalty shootout. Japan prevailed 9:8.
Thus, Ravshan Haydarov's charges failed to reach the Asian Games final. The Uzbekistan U-23 national team will compete against China for the bronze medal.
