Artificial intelligence in education and English-language lessons: New proposals presented to the President
The presentation reviewed issues of improving the quality of education, strengthening methodological support for educators, and expanding modern approaches in the system.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on a presentation dedicated to the organization of the activities of the Ministry of Education and Science and the priority tasks that must be implemented at all stages of the education system.
Recently, by a Presidential decree, a single Ministry of Education and Science was established on the basis of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The goal of the new system is to unite education, upbringing, and science into a single system, improve the quality and efficiency of education, and bring the development of human capital to a new level.
The new ministry has been tasked with ensuring continuity between the stages from preschool education to higher education and scientific activity, and managing the system based on a unified approach. Adapting the content of education to modern requirements and the demands of the labor market, developing competition, expanding private sector participation, and increasing the sector's accountability to the public were identified as priority areas.
The presentation examined issues of organizing the ministry's activities based on the real situation in the regions, reducing duplicative tasks, and strengthening the responsibility of regional branches. The need to make decisions based on reliable data through digitalization of management and enhancing analytical capacity was emphasized.
In preschool education, attention was focused on the comprehensive development of children, updating educational programs and methodologies, improving the qualifications of educators, and early identification of children's interests and abilities. Proposals were also put forward on creating modern conditions in educational institutions.
In school education, issues of updating textbooks, consistently developing students' knowledge and practical skills, and improving the assessment system were discussed.
It was proposed to use artificial intelligence in providing methodological support to teachers, to establish the practice of teaching in English in some schools, and to expand private sector participation.
In vocational education, special attention was paid to early identification of young people's interests, adapting technical school programs to labor market demands, and strengthening their material and technical base. It was proposed to expand dual education in cooperation with enterprises, and to introduce international programs and modern educational materials.
In higher education, the need to expand the independence of universities, improve management quality, and increase the accountability of leaders for results was noted. Issues of developing cooperation with leading foreign higher education institutions, bringing education closer to production, and strengthening students' practical training were also considered.
In the field of science, attention was focused on developing scientific clusters and strengthening cooperation between universities, laboratories, and enterprises. Proposals were presented on introducing scientific developments into practice and creating new products and enterprises based on them.
The President emphasized the need for all stages of education from kindergarten to higher education to work as a single vertical, especially strengthening continuity between school and university. It was noted that it is important to strengthen attention to the quality of education at each stage and to educate children in the spirit of national and universal values.
Additionally, special attention was paid to introducing the results of scientific research into practice. It was emphasized that rectors must have a clear plan and vision for the near- and medium-term development of their universities.
Officials were instructed to thoroughly elaborate the proposals put forward.
