Reprimand to the hokim of Piskent district: this was caused by a conflict related to farmers
The governor was said to have insulted farmers and threatened to take away their land if they did not plant potatoes.

A disciplinary penalty of reprimand was imposed on Muzaffar Aripov, the hokim of Piskent district of Tashkent region. This was due to non-compliance with the rules of conduct and professional ethics of state civil servants. This was specified in the order of the regional hokim Zoir Mirzayev dated October 13.
According to the order, the disciplinary penalty was imposed due to non-compliance with the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 595 dated October 14, 2022.
The adoption of the document was based on the October 10 submission of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the statement of the Ethics Commission of the regional hokimiyat, and Muzaffar Aripov's explanatory letter. Control over the execution of the order was assigned to the head of the Organizational-Personnel Group of the regional hokimiyat.
Earlier, the Farmers' Council of Uzbekistan appealed to prosecutor's bodies regarding reports that the hokim of Piskent district had put pressure on farmers. In its appeal sent on October 9, the Council requested a legal assessment of the hokim's actions.
This was prompted by an audio recording of the hokim's meeting with farmers. In it, Muzaffar Aripov is said to have insulted the farmers and threatened to take away their land if they did not plant potatoes.
The Piskent district hokimiyat, in turn, stated that the meeting was held due to the failure to fulfill the plan for growing late potatoes as a repeated crop on nearly a thousand hectares of land freed from grain.
