Marijuana came out of a toy: woman detained
The narcotic substance was being transported to Tashkent.
Employees of the Tashkent Region IIBB detained a woman who was transporting narcotic substances to Tashkent city. She had hidden the substances inside a children's toy in the form of a baby.
According to reports, during an operation conducted jointly by the Cybercrime Combating Department of the Tashkent Region IIBB and rapid-response officers of the Nurafshon City IIB, a "Nexia 3" vehicle moving through Bektemir district was stopped and inspected.
During the inspection, a toy with narcotic substances hidden inside was found among the belongings of a woman named G.A., born in 1970. Inside it, a total of eight packages of hashish, each weighing 100–150 grams, were discovered.
According to preliminary inquiries, the woman had purchased the narcotic substances in Fergana region and was bringing them to Tashkent city for the purpose of sale.
The driver of the vehicle stated that he provides taxi services through the "Yandex" system and was seeing the woman for the first time.
A criminal case has been initiated over the incident. Operational-investigative work is currently ongoing to identify the source of the narcotic substances.
We remind you that the legislation provides for a penalty of up to 20 years of imprisonment for the illegal circulation of narcotic substances.
