An individual who prepared illegal gold ingots in Bukhara has been apprehended.
Additionally, measures were taken to prevent the illegal export of jewelry items at Tashkent airport and the international checkpoint in Andijan.

Individuals engaged in illegal gold trade in Bukhara, Tashkent, and Andijan have been apprehended, and criminal cases have been initiated. The SSS reported on this.

It was reported that during an operation conducted by the State Security Service's Bukhara regional department in cooperation with customs and internal affairs agencies, two citizens born in 2001 and 2005, residing in Shofirkon district, were caught red-handed while attempting to sell a non-standard shaped gold ingot with a net weight of 110 grams for 17 thousand US dollars.
During the rapid operation, when the residence of the individual born in 2001, who prepared this gold in alloy form, was inspected, equipment intended for melting gold, precursor substances, as well as oxygen and liquefied gas cylinders were found.
According to the expert conclusion, the value of the seized gold amounts to 209 million 757 thousand soums. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident, and investigative actions are being carried out.
Furthermore, during a rapid operation conducted by the SSS Fergana regional department and the regional customs department at Tashkent International Airport, a foreign citizen born in 1980 arriving from abroad was subjected to a personal inspection.

As a result, it was discovered that he had smuggled gold items with a total value of 290 million 516 thousand soums and a net weight of 226 grams by hiding them under the soles of his feet to bypass customs control, and these items were officially seized in accordance with established procedures.
A criminal case has also been initiated regarding this incident.
Another similar incident was recorded in Andijan region. A citizen born in 1997, residing in Andijan city, was stopped while entering through the "Dostlik" international checkpoint from the Kyrgyz Republic, and upon inspection, it was found that he had gold items not declared in the customs declaration, with an estimated value of 400 million soums and a total weight of 241 grams.
According to preliminary information, these jewelry items were brought in from Turkey via Kyrgyzstan for the purpose of sale. Currently, an expert examination has been ordered regarding this material evidence, and investigative work is being carried out on the case.
