A number of markets in Uzbekistan have been temporarily closed.
It was determined that fire safety requirements were violated in these markets.

Violations of fire safety requirements have been identified in markets in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Urgench. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on this.
It is reported that on April 8, employees of the Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations conducted raid inspections regarding compliance with fire safety requirements in several markets in the capital.
During the inspections, it was found that fire safety rules were grossly violated in some areas of the "Aviasozlar" farmers' market in Yashnobod district, the Shaykhantohur farmers' market, and the Chilanzar goods market. Therefore, the activities of certain blocks in these markets have been temporarily suspended until the deficiencies are eliminated.
At the same time, inspections conducted by the Khorezm Regional Department of Emergency Situations in the Urgench goods market also revealed a number of serious violations. According to officials, if these deficiencies had not been identified in time, they could have led to a major fire and severe consequences. As a result, the market's activities have been temporarily closed.
In addition, the activities of the Construction Materials Trade Complex in Samarkand city have been temporarily suspended by the Samarkand Regional Department of Emergency Situations due to non-compliance with fire safety requirements.
It was previously reported that a major fire at the "Beshqo'rg'on" market in Tashkent city occurred due to non-compliance with fire safety rules.
