The Belgian Foreign Minister expressed deep concern over the casualties in Israel's attack on Lebanon.
He was in a meeting with the Lebanese president during the attacks.

Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevost said on April 8 during his official visit to Lebanon that he narrowly avoided becoming a victim of an Israeli attack.
According to Prevost, the Israeli Defense Forces launched a major strike on Beirut without prior warning while the minister was meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. The talks took place at the embassy, located a few hundred meters from where the missile attack occurred.
"The peace between the US, Israel, and Iran must also include Lebanon," emphasized the Belgian Foreign Minister.
Prevost came to Beirut to support the Lebanese government and express solidarity with families affected by the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
On April 8, the US and Iran agreed to a two-week truce. However, shortly after, Israel announced its largest attack on Hezbollah infrastructure.
According to the Israeli army, the strikes targeted Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon. The Israeli Defense Forces claim to have hit over 100 targets in total, including command posts and military installations.
According to Lebanese civil defense, the extensive bombardment that occurred on Wednesday claimed the lives of 254 people (numbers are being verified) and injured over a thousand.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the strikes on Lebanon would harm negotiations between the two sides.
