300 million soums were unjustifiably collected from consumers at medical institutions in Namangan.

Instructions have been issued for the recalculation of nearly 300 million soums unjustifiably collected from consumers at a number of medical institutions in Namangan region. The Competition Committee reported on this.

It is reported that the inspections were conducted by the Namangan Regional Department of the Competition Committee at the To'raqo'rg'on, Uychi, Uchqo'rg'on, Chortoq, and Yangiqo'rg'on district medical associations within the system of the Ministry of Health.

During the investigations, it was found that services were provided to patients using measurement and testing instruments in medical institutions that had not undergone mandatory metrological verification within the established deadlines. Furthermore, payments were collected from citizens for materials listed in the price list but not actually used.

As a result, it became known that the medical associations had received nearly 300 million soums in unjustified income.

Regarding this situation, a case has been initiated by a special commission of the regional department concerning violations of the requirements of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and the Cabinet of Ministers' resolutions establishing the procedure for service provision in the field.

Based on the results of the case review, mandatory instructions were issued to the medical institutions to return the funds unjustifiably collected from consumers in accordance with the established procedure.
