In Vienna, the head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with Monika Juma, the newly appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) .

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, the negotiations discussed Uzbekistan's cooperation with the UNODC, issues of combating drug threats, as well as the outcomes of the international forum dedicated to this global problem, held in April 2026 in Samarkand, and subsequent practical work.

The parties also exchanged views on measures aimed at protecting women, children, and youth. Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude to Monika Juma for supporting the special event organized by the Uzbek side within the framework of the 35th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention.

"We are ready to further develop partnership with the UNODC in the areas of security, justice, and sustainable development," wrote Mirziyoyeva.
