A new decree has been signed in Uzbekistan to further develop the fields of art and literature.

The President signed a new decree aimed at developing culture and creative industries. This was reported by the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, wrote.
In accordance with the decree, the state targeted fund "Investment in Creativity" will be established to support promising creative projects. It has been stipulated that 200 billion soums will be allocated to this fund annually.
From now on, entrepreneurs engaged in concert organization, film and series production companies, children's content producers, private theaters and studios, and private educational institutions in the cultural sector will be exempt from value-added tax, profit tax, turnover tax, land tax, property tax, and personal income tax on employee salaries.
Favorable conditions will also be created for foreign film companies. In particular, their income from producing film products on the territory of Uzbekistan will not be included in the tax base as income of non-residents.
Winners of prestigious international and national competitions will be awarded cash prizes:
- 300 and 100 million soums for the grand prix and first place, respectively,
- 200 and 50 million soums for second place,
- and 100 and 25 million soums for third place.
Teachers and concertmasters who trained the winners will receive a bonus of up to 100% of their monthly salary throughout the year.
Additionally, annually, 50% of the initial down payment on mortgage loans will be covered for one thousand employees in need of housing from among representatives of culture, art, and creative fields.
