A person who stole 880 million soums from an office in Tashkent has been apprehended.
The stolen money was found in his living quarters.
A person suspected of stealing 880 million soums from one of the offices located in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city has been detained. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city.
According to information, a resident of the Markaz-5 area in the Yunusabad district filed a complaint with the internal affairs authorities, stating that their money had been stolen from the office. As a result of operational-search activities, the person suspected of committing the crime was identified and detained.
During a search of the suspect's residence, the stolen money was found and officially seized as material evidence. In a video released by the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the suspect expressed regret for their actions.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been placed under the preventive measure of arrest.
